I’m Gabriel Smy.
I live in Cambridge, UK, with my wife and three boys – a great place to be for independent cinema, big beer festivals and photographing medieval buildings (downside: it’s hard to get a real man’s flowery shirt and the food is crap, but you can’t have it all).
After an English degree I freelanced for 9 years as a writer, editor and trainer. I wrote training resources for the third sector (including a 75,000 word book) amid reams of other copy. I edited web sites, taught English, creative writing and literacy, and developed and delivered training events for many organisations, including Cantle.
In 2008 I started to dedicate this expertise to online content, as part of the Endis Solutions team. It was so much fun that I launched SmyWord to add energy to the dialogue about content strategy on the web.
Why am I your new secret weapon? Because while most companies still skimp on the substance of their web sites, I can help you capture your audience with clear, compelling and effective content. I might even do it for free.
Let’s talk. I’m on twitter if you like it short and sweet.
